UCIEP's Annual Director Conference (commonly referred to as Bandera) is one of the most valuable and rewarding benefits of being a member. It may be the only professional development specific to University/College English Language Program Administrators. Although the majority of pictures show what a fun experience it can be, it is two full days of workshops and intense English language program business.

UCIEP has been held at the Flying L Ranch Resort in Bandera, Texas for more than 25 years. The location and resort were chosen so that there would be no distractions. UCIEP's ELP Administrators spend time learning, networking, and growing as professionals.

Here are a couple things to know about the UCIEP Annual Conference:

• You must be a member to attend.
• The member's main account holder (generally, the ELP administrator) should attend.
• Member's are required to attend the conference at least once every other year; it's recommended to attend each year.
• The conference includes constant engagement: collecting and sharing info/data/opinions, comparing institutions/programs/procedures, and networking.

Since 1997, UCIEP's Annual Director's Conference has been held in Bandera, Texas at the Flying L Ranch Resort. The resort has taken care of UCIEP members very well over the years and will always be a friend of UCIEP.

Flying L Ranch Resort is located in Bandera, Texas, "THE COWBOY CAPITAL OF THE WORLD"! It is a unique resort with a western flare. The ranch has playgrounds, sports courts, a huge swimming pool, miniature golf, driving range and practice green, wagon rides, campfire & s'mores, and a restaurant on site. Accomodations include cabins, villas, and suites! An array of activities are available in the surrounding areas, including horseback rides.
